Celtic Knot Men Silver Barrels

The Celtic knot has been used in Celt ornamentation since Roman times.  Though there is no known religious symbolism associated with it, the Celtic knot was used extensively in the ornamentation of Christian manuscripts and monuments, and certainly evokes the interwoven connection between Man and Nature.

This is one of my personal favorites, because I think the hand stamped links look very elemental and they feel great on.  The Celtic Knot is hand carved bone from Indonesia and the links, which are strung together into an 18 inch chain, are each individually hand made and hand stamped by a tribe in northern Thailand.  Closes with a large, sterling silver lobster clasp.
